We had to restock the pumpkin patch with 5 tuck loads of pumpkins from Jerry Hill's patch. It was a lot of work, but we were able to keep many more customers happy because of it.
Braxton go into another wreck, man that is two in 2020. It has been a rough year for him and driving and insurance. His money keeps flying away, its tough to learn those experiences but a natural part of life. Unfortunately the car he hit just crushed, while doing minimal damage to his truck. I guess that could be fortunate so he didn't have to get a new truck.
Dakota has just shot up and gotten way taller then his grandma. Only 2 years ago they went to Japan together and they were the exact same height.
Oh how the boys and Shane love their 3D printer. They print on it all the time.
One day at work the internet was down. We had to go back to old school and write everything, and calculate it all on our calculators. It was quite the nightmare, but I am glad that I am old school, because it sure helped the other kids that didn't have a clue.
Deer Hunt 2020. It was so good to get away and spend some time in the mountains. We saw tons of Doe's but the bucks were gone once they day of the hunt arrived. These boys are so big and these are the best memories we create with them. Jake, Gunnar, Dakota, Braxton, Dalton, and Jordan Hill.
We also had these three awesome kiddos. Kara, Cam, and Ridge. The keep us busy at camp and go out sometimes with the big boys. Cam couldn't shoot this year because he didn't finish his hunters safety yet, but he sure loves to hunt anyway.
Braxton is currently going to the Davis Tech College every other day for Diesel Tech. He likes all the things he is learning and it is a great experience for him to have his senior year. The only downside is the drive, it is in Kaysville and his truck guzzles the gas going that far. He loves to drive that truck, though, so he doesn't mind. He is such a wonderful young man that we are very proud of.
Joe turned the big 50! So we had a bit of cake and ice cream in the conference room. I made peach cobbler and Sandy made German Chocolate. He didn't want us to make a big deal, but 50 is a pretty big deal!
For primary we had a trunk or treat with our 4 cars. It was so much fun. We kept our distance and wore our masks and were so happy to see the kids. They haven't been able to come to primary since March, so we miss our interactions so bad. We had a wonderful turnout.
Late one Friday night we got a phone call from Kayson's (Braxton's best friend) Dad, Craig. He wanted Braxton to leave the next morning to Florida for 5 days. Braxton was still at work and was shocked when he got home late and we had 1/2 way packed his bag for him. He had no clue they were even going. It was the surprise of a lifetime that he will cherish forever. They spent time at the beach and two full days fishing. The hotel was amazing, and he got to go on an airplane, which is rare these days.
We carved pumpkins and made caramel apples like we do every year. Brax wouldn't participate, but hung out in the same space as us the entire time. I love to see the boys creativity each year on their pumpkins.
Since it is Covid year people came up with all sorts of creative ways to get candy to the trick or treaters. Becky built this giant chute out of her top level to pass it down. We just passed ours out the same way we always do, when they ding dong we answer.
