Happy #9

The old saying goes 'time heals all wounds". I am not sure that I believe the old saying, but I can finally 9 years later say I don't feel like bawling my eyes out all day about how gratefull l I am the Lord let me keep Braxton 9 years ago. I feel content, happy about the young man he is becoming. He is so kind and gentle hearted. He was definitely blessed with compassion for others a trait I hope he keeps forever. He is very persistent--last night watching him run the last 50 laps at the walkathon so he could earn a medal brought me to tears with pride in how persistent he is. Some days I complain about the persistence, but last night I was a very proud mama.

We took him out to dinner and shopping for his birthday and it was so nice just me, Shane and Brax. He needed new shoes and threw in some lacross sticks for himself while we were there. I didn't have a friend party or even a family party, so an extra gift is hardly any big deal.

I love you Braxton and am so glad to be your mom. We had a blast in Disneyland the week before your birthday and I think you could not have asked for anything more than a week with your family at a really fun place right by the beach--your favorite part. You are so smart, kind, imaginative, crazy and rambunctious and I love you for all of those things. You are growing into a great young man who wants to do things on your own and spread your wings and I know you will be great!!

Happy 60th Dad/Grandpa

My dad turned 60 years old on september 8th, so we threw a bash at our house. Shane took care of the invitation and I had Bellas cater it, and it was so nice and so easy. We took care of the set up, decor, and dessert and it turned out to be a great night. It was mostly family, but we invited a couple of close friends and neighbors, I think he appreciated it and I know we all had a good time. Happy 60th Dad, you're the best!!

3 kids in school

This very handsome excited little boy started preschool on Labor Day. He loves to have something to talk about at the dinner table with his brothers and all of his new friends. He is still confused why is friends Owen and Brandon aren't in his class-- they are in his primary class and he thinks preschool and primary are the same. Funny Huh? What to do with myself for 2 hours 2 days a week. Well so far it has gone by so fast and September has been SUPER BUSY at our house, so I will decide next month :)

Cameron's Lunch

This was Cam's ideal lunch the other day. He did not want a sandwich, but created this on his own, it was pretty inventive I thought.
