Our past month

The lacrosse team rented out the Roy aquatic center. It wasn't even crowded and was awesome.

Cameron and Shane helped Tara in her yard fix her leaking faucet. 

The Cub Scouts went hiking up North Ogden divide and ended at this yurt. What a great bunch of boys. They keep us hopping, but we really love all of them. 

The Weston family spent the weekend at Rockport this year for the family reunion. We had a blast. Broke out the kayak for the first time and they didn't ever get off. All day long they took turns ridding it all over the resivor.  The boys favorite part was catching lizards.  

2015 baseball season down. It was a success again. Lots and lots of rain which made the season drag on and on, but Dakota and Cam had a great time. Dakota got to pitch some games and really improved his speed. 

We have spent many hours over at the rental house this month. The tree out back was touching the ground all around. Kind of like a fort but super annoying to mow around and hard. We got the chain saw over there and started cutting and before we knew it we had been there All day and had a giant pile to get rid of. Our boys are becoming the best helpers. They work so hard. Justin came and helped too which saved us a ton of time and effort. 

Another project at Grandmas house. The north side of the front of the house had a GIANT flower bed that always looked so much like weeds so we decided to put rocks there instead. Luckily Blake lent us his loader for this project and also his dump trailer so not as much man labor, more machine. Whew. 

Spending everyday in the pool keeps these kids busy all summer long. That pool was the best investment we ever made. It is worth it's weight in gold I tell you. The Weston boys and the Hill boys swim everyday. Troys kids swim every Tuesday and many other neighborhood kids all week long. Cameron has really long, needs to be cut soooo bad, hair that I love, and looks like a surfer. Bleached and all. 

Last weekend we wanted to get out of the house before the festivities for the 4th so we headed up to Mantua and camped in the tent trailer and use the kayak in the reservoir.  Tara joined us and we really enjoyed relaxing and swimming. 

The big celebration day. I love the Fourth of July but man it is so exhausting. Starts on the 3rd and goes and goes until midnight on the fourth. My boys got 5 hours of sleep and were so tired but were going on steam I guess because they kept going all day. Parade, games, swimming, baseball game that Shane played in, and ended with fireworks. Big day. Braxton and Dakota carried flags and Cameron rode his bike. 

4 best friend having a corn dog---doesn't get any better than that. Summer is the best. Gavin, cam, Owen and Dakota. The Hill boys are the best thing to have next door. Man they are inseparable and love playing outside and swimming everyday. 

Last Day of Cruise 2015

Here we are packing up our tiny room that we were so cozy in for the last 5 days.

Every morning Cam ate cereal with chocolate milk in it, Something I would never allow at home.  He took full advantage and ate lots of things he would not get at home.

My sweet baby and his awesome hair that I love so much.  The bottom blue turtle is from Hawaii and the new turtle is from the Cruise.  He said "mom take my picture and send it to Grandma Julie".  This picture shows his personality so well.  I sure love him.

We were the last ones off the boat because we had a looooong day ahead at the airport.

By some crazy concidence there was another family from Plain City, the Carvers, on our same boat.  We ran into them many times on the boat and snapped these photos before we left.  We did not know them well, just knew of them but they are very nice people and it was fun to see a friendly face.

 The boys were exhausted and crashed out on the ride to the airport.  

Man the mound of laundry was never ending.  It was funny though because that next day in Relief Society they went on and on about how young mothers have no idea what it is to do "real laundry" as in when we had to wash it by hand.  Anyway I was feeling VERY thankful for modern day conveniences.  It took ALL day as it was.

Day 4--Day at Sea

The 4th day we got to spend the entire day on the boat.  There were many activities planned and the kids went to some that were at Camp Ocean that was only for kids.  They each saw a magician, the little boys got to paint shirts, and learned how to fold towels into animals.  Shane and I watched an ice carver make an Indian head, and sat by the pool and people watched just like Shane loves. As a family we participated in a photo scavenger hunt that we took 2nd place (out of 2 families :).  It was a lot of fun and we took some silly pictures.   We ate our last day of all we can eat and enjoyed all the wonderful foods of the cruise including many many ice cream cones.

These were our waiters for the entire cruise.  Dragon, Elvis, and Katherine.  (My kids asked if those were their real names).  They were from all over the world and had really cool accents.  On the last day they sang "your leaving on a jet plane" and Cameron cried and cried.  It lasted like 30 minutes he was so upset.  They all get attached so easily and loved the cruise so much.  It was magical I tell you, just magical.
