Lacrosse 2021

Senior year Lacrosse. Who knew that this would be our final days of watching and coaching Lacrosse? Braxton had a great season, with a concussion to end it off that kept him from playing in the final games but he finished the best he could and it was the end of an era for the Weston's. Brax graduated and Cam decided he hated playing against kids that were so much bigger then he was. Most of them had grown a ton, and he said "I don't want to die on the Lacrosse field". It was way bittersweet for Shane since he loved the coaching, but it freed up many many of his evenings and Saturdays.

He had so many supporters on his senior night. I can only find pics with Kiley's family and Tara, but all his grandparents and our little family were also there to support. They had the parents go out on the field and gave them a gift and honored each senior. We are so proud of all of Braxton's hard work playing lacrosse for 7 years, it was truly the love of his childhood and pure joy watching him play. We froze our butts off some nights, got poured on by a rainstorm, and cooked in the sun other days, but each game we got to watch him do what he loves and show our support and we loved every minute of it.

Women's Conference

The BYU women's conference was digital this year so we decided to make a whole day of it and listen to the talks at Kiley's house while we had brunch, spend the afternoon at Station Park shopping, and finish off the evening getting pedicures. It was so wonderful to spend some time together.

 

Dakota's BIG 16th!!!

Birthdays always start out around here with Breakfast in bed, usually muffins and yogurt. This time we moved it to the living room for more space.

And at lunch time a visit to our favorite place, Bella's, of course. We always need a hat photo as well as a bean burrito.

I cant even believe Dakota is 16 and we have another driver in the house. He is such a responsible, honest, smart young man. I love being around him and having him around to help and be such a great son and brother. Our neighbor wanted to get rid of his deceased wife's car and sold it to Dakota for $1, yup that says $1. It didn't run, but only needed like a couple hundred dollars in repairs. He is so proud of his $1 car and tells everyone all about it. 

Kiley made him this awesome Car cake and we all went in on a gas can full of money for him to use for gas. 

As a special 16th birthday celebration Shane took the boys to Top Golf.  Conner and Matheus went with them and Shane, Dakota, and Cameron. They said it was so much fun, someday I will have to try it out with them.

The fierce 7. What a wonderful group of humans!

Brax got tagged for some random check at the Mexico airport. They went through his backpack and gave him a pat down.

This little joint had the cheapest tacos that had all kinds of different meats in them.  The boys and Shane loved all the different flavors and of course all of them loved the stray dogs wandering around at our feet, except me.

We went to the markets and this is how these 3 boys walked around.  They were a head taller then all of the locals working at the shops, so when I would be looking for them they would say "los altos", and I said yes! That means the tall ones. They stuck out like sore thumbs. 

Brax got braids in his lovely locks.
