The activity day girls gave me a "heart attack", thanking me for my service in the primary presidency. It was so cute and so nice, a pleasant surprise for a Wednesday afternoon!
There has been WAY to much of this going on lately, I am getting a bit sick of it. Shane was home for a whole week, so of course they watched more TV and played more DS's then I ever allow, but I had a great babysitter and was able to come and go a little more easily.
Today we all headed out and sledded behind the 4-wheeler and build this awesome snowman family. If you look close you can see a baby snowman and a dog on the right side. It was very inventive of my boys, just hard to see in the photo.
Shane had a good birthday, uneventful, but good. We celebrated with his favorite meal--elk burgers and sweet potato fries, with chocolate dipped strawberries as a treat. Shane also had surgery on his nose earlier this month, which he is feeling a lot better from. I have pictures on my phone, but I have no idea how to upload those. He had a deviated septum, so they fixed it in hopes that he could breathe better and not hang on to those colds for so long. The boys and I have been up to the typical winter activities, trying to stay busy while not getting cabin fever. I started to work one day shift at work (until summer) and Cameron and my mom are having a great time hanging out. He is SPOILED ROTTEN! He now thinks I am the meanest mom ever because I say no, but it is good for my mom to spend time alone with him. Braxton and Dakota got great reports from their teachers, they are very smart! Braxton's teacher says he has a "math mind"--phew, lets hope it hangs on! Dakota is learning to read, which is one of my favorite milestones for children. He sounds things out so well and we are very proud of them both.
