Random Late Summer

The pumpkin patch in the dead of summer is such a beautiful sight. There is hardly even a speck of ground showing, just leaves leaves leaves. Then the beautiful flowers begin to form and small pumpkins grow into huge ones. This was our 15th year of pumpkin farming.

For Young Men's they went to a golf simulator and Cam won, so his leader Jeff Broadbent sent this picture to me.

Cameron the Minky burrito. Kiley gave all of us girls this beautiful blanket that we use everyday to snuggle up with on the couch.

Shane gave me this awesome knife from Alaska and I sliced off the end of my thumb the first time I used it.

Cameron got his braces on the day before 8th Grade. His mouth has already changed so much.

 

First day of school, first bike race, and Zoo with Crittenden's

Wow I cant even fathom the fact that my babies are in 8th and 11th grade. They are growing so fast. Cam got his braces on the day before school started, and Dakota is almost getting his off. It has been a long hard process for Dakota, but he is going to look amazing!

Cameron had his first bike race of the season at Beaver Mountain and he raced so hard. It was his first experience as well as ours and turns out we are all hooked. It is so great for him to be doing a sport that isn't a team sport. He can just compete against Cameron and he seems to really love that. He got faster every race and most of all got stronger and had a ton of fun.

Kiley took the kids to the zoo. Its sad when I only have one kid that can go, or is even interested. Life goes by so quickly and soon they aren't young anymore. Having teenagers is really a lot of fun, but can be such a change from little ones. Cam sure loves his cousins and spends time with them whenever he has a chance.

He also slept over with them and tie-dyed shirts. Kiley always has the best ideas and keeps the kiddos busy. We love summer and the chance it brings to be outside and with friends and cousins.

 

Flaming Gorge (Cancelled Lake Powell)

Lake Powell was scheduled for the first week of August. The Hall's (friends, and boat owners) got sick with Corona Virus right before it was time to go so we cancelled. It did get rescheduled for September, but at the time we didn't know that and already had the time off of work wo we went to Brent's cabin for 4 days at Flaming Gorge. Just the 5 of us.  We had so much fun and it was really good for the boys to spend time just the three of them.

Cam built his KiwiCo while he was there, this awesome lamp. He got this subscription for 9 months and loved every single one of them. He is so much fun to have around and always so thankful for everything in life.

We went down to the dam and hiked along the trail to the river so we could fish. We just sat on this rock basking in the sun and fishing all day long. We packed in a lunch and enjoyed the day watching people tube by and catching a few fish.

Ever since Brax was born I feel like I need to take a picture of him sleeping. It is strange, but I have tons of pics just like this one on my phone.

We kayaked and jetskiied at the lake, and one day they forgot to put in the plug and started to sink.

My whole world figuring out the worlds problems together. They bring such light and life into my world and I am thankful everyday God let me be their mama.

 

Summer fun and Girls Trip to Cedar City

We were driving down the road shortly after we finished our patio and Cam made me pull over. There was a free couch on the side of the road he wanted really bad so we called Shane and he came right after work and we brought it home.

Youth conference 2021. I wish I had more pictures, but Shane and I were asked to be the camp cooks along with Chad and Alisa Hill for a two day youth conference starting way up monte cristo and ending at the temple. There was hiking, biking, and kayaking all showing how one droplet of water on the top turns into the Mighty Weber river and it nourishes so many people as well as animals and yards. All three of our boys were there (Brax for Saturday), and I consider it a blessing we got to spend that time with them. I love our boys so much and their love of the gospel and all things good. They really are a light wherever they go. I got to witness their kindness and helpfulness and thankfulness the entire time. Such an honor to be their mother.

Brax got this awesome Letterman Jacket for graduation, and we waited way to long to order so it came in the summer after he graduated. He never even put it on, so I made Cam pose for a pic.

One morning I was making breakfast and I found this in the drawer. I was sure it was Brax because he always puts things down and can't remember where he put them.  It was, of course Braxton.

Cam and I got some fun crafts from the library and spent one afternoon putting them together.

Our dear friend Alayna had a major bike crash and broke her scapula and got some major road rash.

Amy B, Amy J, and Tash and I went on an epic girls trip to Cedar City. It is so fun to get away and relax and laugh our heads off! We also celebrated Tasha's birthday. We went to cedar breaks, and Parowan gap. Such beautiful creations in southern Utah.
