I love seeing this every morning. Braxton is so talented and makes me smile. He is also becoming a very good reader that sometimes even reads for pleasure. (yeah!)

This is what happens to three little boys who have a sleepover at Grandma Beckys and stay up till 1:30 in the morning!!! And still get up at 7:30 of course. We had been in the car 10 minutes. They were exhausted. They also got to go to bed at 7 that night and they were ready.

Cameron

Shane was outside taking out the garbage at the church after the Blue and Gold last night, it was dark.

Cameron said: "Dad I heard something--it was the Holy Ghost--he told me which way to go"

Shane said: "Oh, I bet that was scary!"

Cameron Said: "No, it wasn't scary--the Holy Ghost tells the truth".

(If we could teach him 1 thing his entire life it would be just that :)

Update

This time of year I always print my blog book, which although not taking much time does consume my time on the computer. I love having it and now it is on its way! However, it does make it so I do not post from Christmas till now, which is pretty uneventful anyway. January is slow and nice to recover from the holidays. My camera broke right after Christmas so I have no photos but hopefully soon we will be getting a new one.

Parent teacher conference went great. Dakota and Braxton are both doing so well and get such great grades. Both of their teachers said they love having them and have no problems with them at all. Braxton's teacher says he complains about not seeing the board and the school nurse says his eyes are normal, so I am having a dilemma about taking him to the eye doctor or not ($100 is a bit steep to find out he is fine). The nurse is going to reexamine and if he still says he can't see I will have to bite the bullet and just take him.

Dakota's teacher wants him to go to reading group now also. Braxton has been going since September and is doing so well and has gained so many skills I am really proud of him. Both of my boys read slow. They are tested 3 times a year on their fluency and they are just slow. They comprehend very well what they are reading, they just take their time. Now they can have the skills to speed up and understand at the same time. It was a little hard for a mom who has read to her children everyday since day one to understand, but I now am happy they are in the class and hope the skills stick with them throughout school.

Shane has his 35th birthday last week and although uneventful, we had a good time. This is what he posted about it on Facebook:

**The only reason I signed up for facebook is to get more presents on my birthday ;) Thanks to everybody that wished me a good day. I had a great birthday, Geana got up a 4:30am and fixed me breakfast and lunch before i had to leave for work. Then she slaved all day fixing me dinner and my favorite cake, tres leches, it was excellent. I have the best and most thoughtfull wife and kids, I couldn't ask for a better birthday present. Thanks

He asked for an RC car, which I think is for the kids, but frankly he is just one of the kids and so far they have had a blast with it.
