May--Brax comes home, Mother's day, and Geana's birthday

Dakota got an award from Fremont High for his awesome academics. He impresses me daily with his dedication as well as smart smart brain. He works hard to get things turned in and accomplish his perfect 4.0 GPA.

For Weston's FHE we did a log run obstacle course. In fact we did a lot of different Olympic type events. It was really fun and challenging

Sometimes the happiest places are in the very small moments contained within our home. Brax came home for 5 weeks between Texas and his new Job in Alaska and we took full advantage of the small moments to be together.

Super Cross. This is the main reason Braxton came home from Texas for a visit and to go to Supercross. My cousins boy is in it so Mom and Dad took Cam and Dakota and Brax went with his buddies. Aunt Kathy and Uncle Kendall also went with them on the frontrunner.

The boys always make me breakfast in bed and pick flowers from around the yard and give them to me for Mother's day. It is such a wonderful tradition that I love being the recipient of. This year there weren't any flowers in the yards, so they bought some hanging plants.

2022 was the year of the sourdough for me. I love making it and having it around. Shane has always loved Sourdough so I am so glad that now I know how to make him some.

Another must do while he was home visiting was the sand dunes. We went to the Knolls which is closer and easier. We had a wonderful safe time, and of course one of Braxton's bikes broke. It happens every time. 

This was my 3rd year teaching preschool and I truly love every moment of it. The age of the kiddos is perfect for me and I love them so much. Amber Dunn is my boss and she is an amazing teacher. She is so good with the kids and they learn so much throughout the year.

My cousin Marley got married while Braxton was home. We planned to do family pictures there so we all got all dressed up, but Troy wasn't able to make it so we bagged the picture idea and we spent the day all gussied up.

Dalton graduated from High School. He is like another son to me, we are so proud of him.

Cameron also received an award of excellence from Wahlquist for his awesome grades and hard work and dedication. He loves school and has a goal to get his associates degree at the same time he graduates high school. He will have to be very dedicated to achieve that goal. 

Preparations for the pumpkin patch. I love the view of freshly tilled ground. It is such a metaphor for starting over and growing things anew.

Dakota made crepes, in fact he is very good at making crepes. On this particular day he made a gigantic one the size of the whole griddle.

Another yummy new thing I started in 2022 is sheet pan vegetables. It is so yummy and a perfect side to basically any meal.

Our shared birthday. Carrera 13 and Geana 42. It was on a Sunday this year so Kiley invited us up for dinner.

Carrera got a brand new iPhone so the boys were showing her how to set it up.

 Games, games, and more games. Tara and the kids love to play games together each time that we are together. I love that they all love it as much as she does. She has a whole bag of awesome games to choose from.

April--Easter, Prom, Dakotas #17, FHE

Dakota asked Kaitlyn Hall to Prom and this is how she answered with a million balloons. 

Dying eggs with the Crittendens is a yearly tradition. 

Two boys only on Easter. It was our first real holiday without Brax and it felt weird. We took eggs full of candy and Money for Braxton and Brandyn to find and asked Trish to hide them. We had a lovely day as we usually do.

Braxton went on an Easter ride with Rico. They found some pretty cool stuff on their all day ride.

Facer Easter Party 2022

Grandpa Brent and Grandma Lisa also had a really fun Easter party in their backyard with fun games and yummy food.

For Activity days we had a modest fashion show where the girls used tissue paper and such to create beautiful  outfits to wear down the red carpet.

Dakota got 2nd place in the Art competition on the district level and got a certificate and some money. His piece was called Qube-ular and was a cube in a cube. He is very talented at jewelry.

Dakota turned 17 years old. I used to write a whole post called 17 things I love about Dakota, maybe I will do that soon, or maybe I will forget. We will see.

Weston Family Olympics. What a fun evening of games, relay races, and cup stacking events.

We spent a ton of time driving Cam back and forth to practice this year. And a ton of time on the mountain with him while he rode we hiked. I love being out in nature
