About 8 months ago I realized it was soon to be Dakota's turn for an adventure abroad. I remembered Justin and Bernice were coming home from Okinawa Japan summer 2018 and my wheels began to turn. I wanted to send him after school gets out, but for the Weston's sake and moving home we sent him over Spring Break and he missed 6 days of school. He was gone for 17 days. It was totally worth all of the make up work when he returned because he had the time of his life. Becky decided to tag along for one last visit to her children and Dakota was thrilled about that idea!
He got to fly across the world into a foreign land and be with his cousins. Cade is just older and Medora is just younger and from what I hear those three amigos just had the best time being big and traveling around Toyko Disneyland alone, only coming back when they were hungry. They spent the first week in Toyko and the second week in Okinawa where Justin and Bernice live.
Before I move on to explain some of the pics I need to record how much I missed that boy. He is the calm in our house and I missed it so much. Brax and Cam both have crazy times way more often then Dakota and he brings such a peace to our family--a piece I had a hard time living without. He is truly an easy child that is so obedient and kind and I missed my Jelly Bean (nickname). However, he did not miss us. Can you believe that? I actually do. He was free to be himself and didn't have to answer to anyone and no one told him what to do, he just had the time of his life!

We met them at the airport and this was his grin that told me it was the right choice to send him on a great big adventure! He took 800 pictures so this is just a snippet of what he did, but it is the memories that will last in his heart for a lifetime. He is more independent and grown up now and I can see it in his confidence and his smile.
