Little things

We missed this guy.  We made his a poster and decorated his room.  It was good to wake up the next morning with him back in his bed, it made me smile.

The gourd tunnel is looking awesome!  We trippled the length of it this year and it is so beautiful.
Time for back to school.  8th Grade at Wahlquist Junior High, Braxton.  3rd Grade at Plain City Elementary Cam. 6th Grade at Plain City Elementary Dakota.  I decided to have them write their paper with the year on it, and apparently Dakota's didn't show up to well.

Last year with two at the elementary school. Next year Brax and Dakota will be together.

Two best buds riding off to school together every morning. Dakota and Gavin love their roller blades.

For young women's we made aprons.  The Miamaids sewed them themselves, it was awesome to see their talents.

Cameron and Landon played for 2 hours with this marble maze.  They days of kids playing with toys are coming to an end at my house all to quickly.  I was so happy to see them enjoy some creating and using their brain time.
Shane and the big boys went on a campout for 11 year olds.  Me and Cam got to have a date night.  We went for a bike ride and picked the raspberries and ate delicious raspberries, peaches and milk with a ton of sugar.  The he slept in my bed with me.  It is not very often we get one on one time and I love it every time I get to have one of them to myself.
Dakota was in charge of the breadsticks for Sunday dinner and they were much better than when I make them, and he also made it look like a Jack-O-Lantern.
Just a Silly Braxton doing silly things like he does.

More Spain

Gonzi's family owns a few businesses and one of them is a restaurant called Wine Fandango.  This is the boys with their uncle Jose at their restaurant.
They spent a few days at a water park and theme part. Brax said it was really cool and a lot of fun.

They also spent a few days at the festival at their other house in the village.  Gonzalo was in a play he was the wizard in the wizard of oz play.  Braxton especially loved his few days in the village because they partied all night long for 4 nights straight.  He thought that was great.  One interesting thing he told me was that a lot of Gonzalo's friends smoked and drank wine, but Gonzi would ask them to go away from Brax and Conner.  I thought that was really nice and thoughtful as well as I was happy he knows our standards and respects them.

My handsome boy getting his picture taken while he is taking a selfie.  I love him so much and love that he wears some silly flowers from the festival on his head and doesn't even care, because he is just not to cool for much (yet).

This is the street where they do the running of the bulls.  It is in July so they just went to the street and saw where it takes place.
They were able to attend church with the family and these are some pics Brax took.  After the service which is 1 hour long, they carry the giant saint from one church to the other one across the way.  Brax says they do that every Sunday.

He played soccer in these giant bubbles.

This is where they were cooking their dinner one night.  Just a bunch of meat over the open flame.
He played paintball in the village.  He said this was a blast.
He also spent one night camping with a bunch of Gonzalo's friends.  He said the thing he missed about home was English.  I imagine after 3 weeks of not being able to understand anyone, it gets a bit old.  Gonzalo's friends were kind to him and he liked all of them a lot.

Another one of their businesses is a winery.  He got to take a tour of how they make the wine and also how they store it.

He says they own this castle, but he did not get to go inside it.

They last few days he got to go to Madrid and see where Gonzalo's favorite soccer team, Atletico de Madrid, plays.  He said it was really neat and huge.

Were leaving on a jet plane.  Just leaving the experience of a lifetime.  He did so good, had such a great time, learned a lot, and grew up into a teenager overnight.  We missed him, and he said he didn't have time to miss us.  It was truly the best gift he could have been given as a 13 year old boy.  Adventure!
