November Little things/ Cam's bday

 Post Halloween snooze.  Dakota fell asleep while reading his book the morning after Halloween. Partied too hard I guess.

 We went ice skating for Young Women's.  I crafted and ice skated in the same month.  Maybe that is why I like Young Women's so much I do a lot of things I would not usually do and I really enjoy it.  I also get to do girly things which are in short supply around my house.

Indoor soccer can be viscous sometimes, and he was so mad because this kid didn't even a get a foul.

Bones aka Cameron turned 10 years old.  My baby is a whole decade old.  It makes me quite sad when I think about it.  10 more years, maybe even 8 and all my boys will have flown the coop.  Sad, really sad. 

He got a new robe and a game from us, and Grandma Becky gave him this really cool pillow.  He also went shopping with each set of grandparents and got some really great gifts.

Our annual sluffing school to go to Bella's date.  Shane got to come this time which is extra special for our boys.

Friend party.  This was the loudest, craziest party we have had in a very long time.  We only invited 5 boys, but it was so loud and they were so hyper, man I was exhausted after.  Brax and Dakota led them in some very fun night games to get out their crazy, but it didn't work--Still crazy!  He loved it and that is what matters I suppose.  He has some really good friends.

10 awesome things about Cameron

10 things I love about Cameron on his 10th Birthday

1. He and I are best buds.  We pal around together all the time, we are the only ones home from 7-8 in the morning and we sure love being together.  
2. He loves to be outside.  Anything that is going on outside is more exciting to Cameron then what is going on in the house.
3. He loves his cousin Carrera, they are the best of friends and it is so neat to see them together.  
4. His smile can melt mine and Shane's heart in one second.  
5. He is crazy.  I am telling you he is silly, and fun and hyper but a really great kid wrapped up in all that crazy.
6. Cameron is really a natural at school.  Most subjects come really easy to him but especially math like my other boys.
7. He loves his long hair, and will not cut it.  I also love it so it does not make me at all sad.
8. Everyday after Shane's work he hides and then yells "daddy's home" and it makes Shane's day every time.  
9. Cameron is a great hard worker.  He loves to help in the pumpkin patch and works so hard every time we ask him to, without complaining or saying it's someone elses turn.  
10. He is so kind to his friend Jace who has special needs.  Most kids get tired and some are even rude, but Cam loves him unconditionally and all the time.  He is patient and really Christlike when he is playing with his friend.  In fact, I am not sure he even knows Jace has special needs, he just knows he loves him and God loves him.

End of October

 I made this cute pumpkin at Young Women's.  I am not much of a crafter but this one was a good one for me.  Cut with a saw, glue and paint one color.  I sure love spending time with these girls, they bring so much joy and excitement into my life.  They teach me about friendship and being the kind of people God wants us to be. 

 Pumpkin carving was on the driveway this year and without Dakota.  He was over at Gavin's, which is pretty normal for him.  We missed him though.  We didn't do our annual carving with Brent and Lisa and family this year because we needed them carved for FHE with the entire Weston Family.  Instead we did a donut night at Lisa's, it was delicious.

 We headed down to Primary Children's hospital on one of the boys days off of school.  I feel like they are constantly out of school!  Anyway, we handed in 13 quilts and they were very excited to have them.  One doctor passed by and grabbed the batman one right off the top for a special patient that needed it.  Brax worked so hard and really accomplished something great, I believe.  He is such a great kid and really changing into a man.  The pic of us we weren't aware it was happening so we look terrible, but I want to document we went together with my mom.  After, she took us out to the Lion House in Salt Lake.  It was delicious and we had a nice visit.

 Leaves, leaves, leaves.  We have been up to our eyeballs in leaves these past few weeks.  Lots of work 15 years later when we planted cottonwoods.  The boys love to make piles and jump in, for me the leaves bring a lot of work but I sure love to see the leaves bring them so much joy.

 We played pickleball at bishops house one Saturday with my side of the family.  He fed us lunch and we played a few rounds.  It is a really fun game.

 Cam got to leave school early on Halloween to trick-or-treat at aunt Mauri's work.  He got a ton of candy and had fun with his cousins.

 Cara, Ridge (werewolf), Dakota and Cameron. We ran the neighborhood chasing the candy and loaded up as usual.  Tara walked around with me as we chased these kiddos from house to house.  Then Cameron came home and separated it with Tara to count his loot.  Tara is always such a good sport and a great aunt.

 Braxton and Dakota spent the evening at Dallas and Joyce's house putting on a spook ally for the kids.  They had a great time scaring people including me.  Alayna was in charge of the teenagers and I took the little kids.  I think I got the easier job if you ask me.  This is Whitney Weston and Braxton in the medical room.  He was the dead patient and she was the nurse.  Dakota jumped our from behind the shed dressed as a zombie.

Deer Hunting 2017

Another successful deer camp.  I am not one for the actual killing of the deer, but I really enjoy the fall camping.  I love to get the trailer out one last time and freeze in the mountains. We hike, play games, sit around the fire, dig holes, eat camping food, and mostly enjoy each others company.  We took Rhoni, our Rhino for a ride over the beautiful mountainside and saw a ton of does.  It was a beautiful ride.  Later me and Alayna followed Braxton and Dalton around while they scouted for deer and had a great conversation and enjoyed/lamented over seeing our boys grow up so fast.  

This year Brent, Cody and Tanner joined us.  It was fun to have them and Tanner had a great time.  

Dakota shot his first buck, a 4 point.  He was so exited and got right in there and quartered it and also cut it to put in the freezer after we got home.  After a couple of missed shots, Braxton and Dakota shot at the same time and we are not sure who hit it but Braxton took one for the team and gave this one to Dakota.  I was very proud of him.  Jake said the bullet hole was smaller like the one out of Dakota's gun, so we are sure it was Dakotas anyway.
