December Quarantine

Well we got home from the epic trip of 2020 and found out that Shane had COVID-19.  He lost his taste and got tested and Yes! we were now in a 20 day quarantine.  Brax had to for 30 days because he never tested positive.  Me, Dakota, and Cam all tested positive about 9 days after Shane, but never had any symptoms. So we stayed home.  We crafted, did puzzles, rearranged bedrooms, and watched a LOT of movies.  We had a ton a wonderful friends and family drop off fun things to do and treats galore.

Becky gave Cam this awesome shirt for his birthday.  It says 13 years of being awesome, Vintage 2007 Limited Edition, so cute.

We took a selfie on the day that we got tested.  It was just sitting in the car and waiting for them to stick a cotton swab way up our noses.  Cam freaked out as usual, but he did it!

I crimped Braxton's Hair.  It gave him some serious volume!  It was nasty.

Alisa and Chad Hill brought us a darling gift everyday of the 10 days of quarantine.  It brought us so much joy just to have a knock at the door.  

Tara brought over her toys that the boys love to build with and that kept them busy for hours.

One day for #lighttheworld we were suppose to decorate our neighbors door to tell them how awesome they are, but we were quarantined so Dakota made this awesome pic of our front door and wrote a message on it.

Theresa Lamb brought over Pearler beads and they boys made all these creations with them.

Just a school project to draw and teach about a person in history.

One of the things Hill's gave us was a gingerbread kit.  We failed epically, but had a ton of fun and laughed our butts off.

Delicious gingerbread cookies that we decorated as a family were contained in this box, she had so many good ideas!

We decided as a family we would gather items for Primary Children's as a service for this year. We got $270 in cash donations, and $315 in noncash donations. There were books, puzzles, markers, games, gift cards, colorful duct tape and a lot more.  It was really neat to go down there and have her tell us how much they use donations like this and how much it means to the kids and parents.  Braxton turned 18 this year and Primary Children's changed our lives for the better for all 18 of those years.  Russ Montgomery sent the most beautiful text after we thanked everyone that I wanted to put here so I will remember it always "What a privilege to help such a wonderful organization that has forever enriched our lives".  It brought me to tears, such a strong statement about the impact Braxton has on each of our lives.
