The sunrise is magnificent. Shane saw it daily, I saw it a few times. It just happens so fast and is truly one of God's most beautiful creations.
These little dudes lived all over around the Bellows Air Force Station.
Day 5 we hit the market at the Aloha Stadium and Pearl Harbor. Man it was so much fun seeing all those cool Hawaiian people selling all of their goods. Shane a I went a bit crazy on the buying. It was like we were on vacation and needed some souvenirs. We had so much fun trying all the different pastries, coconut milk, fruits, and dried treats. I think we bought some of each one, and some places we even had to go back to.

Next we headed to Pearl Harbor. What a neat attraction, the reverence and respect for those who lost their lives that day is so strong here. We first went to the memorial for the USS Oklahoma. Each of those white poles represents one person who lost their life on that ship that day.
Next we went to the USS Arizona Memorial. You have to take a ferry out to see it, and while you wait there is a lot of artifacts and information to learn from. First they have you watch a very good movie depicting the events of December 7, 1941 when the Japanese attacked Pearl Harbor. It was emotional. We then rode the ferry out and were amazed that there is still oil leaking out of the sunken ship, and will be for about 50 more years to come. It was quiet and very thought provoking. There is a gigantic wall with everyone's names printed on it. A very humbling experience.
We ended last at the USS Utah. It is sunken right where it was that day. They rolled it over to get it out of the way of the main thoroughfare. Interesting to see all these Graveyards at sea.
