The next day we decided to take it easy and stay around our cabin. We sat on the beach and shane snorkeled. Man he loves to snorkel. The waves were a bit big, so he didn't last very long. We rented a boogie board that I tried out. Later that day we took a drive to a nearby town, where we found a pier that a bunch of people fish on. We met some friends, named Alton and Tony they were so kind, told us about Hawaii, their family and even let Shane throw out their pole. Alton had down syndrome, so he didn't have a hook on the end of his pole, but he was having a great time. It was nice to talk to some people that were from Hawaii.
Next we went on a hike up a beautiful mountain to a lighthouse. It was a pretty easy hike, a bit of an incline, with a beautiful view from the top. People take locks to the top and hook them on the chain link fence and throw the key into the ocean and call it "love locks". I had never heard of this before--it was interesting.
This is to show how there wasn't windows in our cabin, just shutters. You could hear everything outside, mostly ocean, but also neighbors.
