The big Surprise Party!!

Shane turned the big 40.  The boys and I had been planning a big surprise party for a long time, and we pulled it off without him even knowing.  We sent him over to help his mom on a project and they were supposed to be home by 6, but of course he wouldn't finish until the job was done, so they were nearly an hour late for his own party.  I knew that would happen because he never quits in the middle of the job unless it gets dark or the day is over.  He is so persistent, and this time it was not a good thing.  He was very surprised and we had so much fun eating breakfast burritos with both sides of our families and playing reverse charades.

Dakota spent one evening learning how to make a tie into a bow tie and this is how my handsome family looked for church.  They are growing up so fast and sometimes my heart feels like it could burst with love for these awesome boys. 

Braxgton went to the flowrider with the Young Mens.  He loves that place.

I also had another party for Shane a few days later with a bunch of his friends and only got a picture of the table.  This one was not a surprise which is why I think the other one remained a surprise because we could talk party and it never occurred to him we would have two.

Coit Holt and Braxton spent one Saturday making a Ru Goldberg machine for science class.  They probably had me record it 25 times before that silly balloon popped.  We were just laughing every time and when it finally did pop it was all we could do to not jump for joy while the camera was filming, it was such a relief.
