March Little things

 Cameron made it into the club of glasses wearers around here.  That is 3 boys all with glasses.  He is so handsome in them and very responsible at wearing them all the time.

 Random photo one of the boys took of me while I was chauffeuring them around.  That is definitely the stage of life Shane and I are at now.  We spend a lot of time driving kids everywhere.  It is good, but can seem a bit much sometimes.  

 Dakota had a skating field trip for 6th grade.  He is getting pretty confident on his skates.

 We had to take Brax for his heart doctor visit. We're supposed to go every 3 years and it has been 6!!  Shane told me it felt like it has been a while so I should call them and I was shocked it had been that long since we went down to Primary Children's for a visit.  Everything looks great so just one more visit for an Echo then not until his mission.  

 Shane coached Braxton and all of his buddies this year.  It was a lot of fun, they didn't win much but they had a great time playing together.

 Cameron and Ryder had a great night together before they went back to Japan for one more year.  It is amazing how much kids love each other and so easily  

 I got the privilege of spending an entire day with just me and Kara.  She is such a light in my life.  She is spunky, fun and I love her so much.  

Dakota and I got to spend the day together on a 6th grade field trip at the Clark Planetarium.  We rode the front runner down to Salt Lake and then watched 2 shows and looked at the exhibits. My favorite was the 3D show about the Hubble spacecraft. Dakota is such a smart, fun, handsome boy and I am happy we got to spend the day together.  The food court at the mall where the planetarium was closed so we had to walk a mile to the other one and got back late and had to catch the next train, but all in all it turned out fine.

 The MiaMaids got to spend the evening at Kit Jensen's learning how to pipe cupcakes.  I sure love these girls.  We have two leaving very soon, and a few new ones coming in and it is weird how attached I feel to them.  I hate to see them go.  They just bring such a crazy, fun feeling into my life.  They are so happy and kind all of the time and I love them so much.

 Braxton is taking guitar this semester and I am so impressed how fast he is picking up on it.  I sat and sang about 5 songs while he played and we laughed and had so much fun bonding over the guitar.  I would love for him to play around the campfire this summer, I hope he will.  

 FHE with the Weston family is a highlight every month.  We get together with about 60 people at the church and learn about the gospel and have fun. This time we did a service project cleaning all the chairs in the gym, then we played the balloon pop game.  It was a ton of fun and lots of laughs. 

 Cameron had an assignment to do a diorama for the Achievement Fair at the school. He picked Iguana and did a great job making it.  Kiley cut out the words with her cricket, and Cam and Dakota did the whole inside by themselves.  I love when they accomplish these things on their own because it can be quite a parent project. 

 Shane and I went on a date to the Great Room Escape with Cody and Shannon and Becky and Russ.  It was interesting to stay away from the zombie while solving clues to try to find the 4 keys to escape in one hour.  We did it with 3 minutes to spare.

This morning Braxton yells at me while I am down in the bedroom, "Mom the oven is on fire".  The element was burning up inside the oven and when I turned it off it continued to burn so I had to turn the breaker off.  I am so glad we were home or this could have been a very bad deal.  It had a flame in the beginning, but slowly turned to just this burning and followed the track around.  I was a bit scared and also thankful I was home.
