Saddest day ever. After months of working the ground, putting in a drip system, watering, and weeding our entire pumpkin patch got taken over by squash bugs. We dusted as we usually do and nothing. They ate the entire patch. It was very sad and cost the boys a lot of mission money!
Brax went to a fancy restaurant in Alaska with his whole crew.

We did get a decent crop of Indian corn. But the pumpkins just didn't keep growing, it was very sad.
Dakota and Cam ate a super hot pepper, it was so funny watching them react and almost die from the heat.
Cam had to build a bus stop for his Project Lead the Way class. He had to design and engineer it.
Our wonderful sweet neighborhood "Pumpkin attacked us" to tell us they are sorry we lost the patch and give us words of encouragement. It was so nice of them and made our Sunday for sure.
Dakota invited some family and friends over for a fish fry to try out the Salmon and Halibut he brought home from Alaska.
When I told everyone we were cancelling the pumpkin patch party Joe Cottam said "its not about pumpkins, its about connection" and we made the party bigger and better and had 4 bouncy houses at it donated by Joe. We had so much fun and continued the tradition in spite of the dead patch.
