Two days before Christmas we had a cousin day and played outside and decorated cookies. Cousin days are always so fun and full of excitement and also crazy and full of messes.
Christmas morning was magical once again. We have a full house of non believers this year, so I thought maybe the kids would sleep in a bit, but Cam could only make it to 5:30, which for us is sleeping in when the usual is 4:00. Shane let them sleep upstairs so the set up was so easy, we did it right after they went upstairs and we were in bed by 10:30. It is nice to be prepared sometimes.
Dakota got an IWatch and Solomon Shoes he had been asking for.
Cam got a minky blanket that Kiley sewed for him as well as some block and Solomon shoes.
Brax got some new gloves for skiing and some waders for duck hunting.
The big family gift was PS4 and we fixed up the upstairs room for a gaming room and they haven't come down since. We have had many friends come over, even some come out of the woodworks that we haven't seen for a while.
We had my parents over for Christmas crepes and puff pancake as per tradition and then in the afternoon went over to Becky and Russ' house for presents and puzzles. It was nice to just all sit around and chill without everyone being on their device. Then we ended the evening over at Brent and Lisa's giving them their gifts. It was a beautiful day spent with family that we love and care about so much.
