Cruise day 2-Catalina

We spent the next day off the boat in Catalina Island, off of California.  We rented a golf cart and crusied all around the island.  We got to see the whole scenic view from our golf cart.  After we returned the cart we spent the rest of the whole day on the beach.  The kids love digging in the sand, collecting sea shells, and discovering whatever they can by way of sea life and also garbage that everyone left behind. Braxton found an abandoned fishing pole and they hooked a bag on the end and "fished" for water half the day.  I think they could have stayed even longer, but hunger always gets the best of us.

Lobster.  Delish.  Not so much for the boys, but they enjoyed their steak every night.  The mashed potatoes were yummy, so they stuck to those every night.  Cameron ate broccoli and fruit.  Not very filling, but nutritious I guess.  I loved that they got to experience this.  We don't do fancy very often (or never), so they got to see what cloth napkins, extra forks, appetizers, main dish, and dessert are all about.  It lasted 1.5-2 hours every night and they did a great job each time.

The magician came to do a few card tricks for us too.  They boys thought it was awesome.

Shane snorkeled around and found these beautiful fish, and a sting ray but did not have the camera at the time.

It was fancy dress up night on the boat.  We did the best we could and wore jeans and collared shirts.  Some people were in prom dresses and tuxedos, we looked OK comparatively.
