Grandmas Garage Sale

Some of the treasures the boys found when cleaning out Grandma Jo (Facer's) house were great, others not something I really wanted to keep, but I let them decide on a few each.  One of the ones we kept was old time Lincoln Logs.  They are sweet.  Big, and fun and we love this gift from Grandma.  She also gave me her sliver silverware, which I as honored to be given.  I got some cool kitchen gadgets and holiday decor.

These are the tables all set up and ready to go.  Man we worked hard to get everything moved out of her house.  She needed the $ from the sale of her house in order to pay for the rest home she lives in.  It is so expensive.  Cousins and Aunts came and helped, and it was a good experience for all of us to work together.
Well Troy decided he did not want to buy Grandmas house, so Shane and I did.  We figured it was a good rental to have in Plain City, and also a great place for our boys to live someday if they want to with their wives.  We spent the next 2 straight months fixing it up, but this is the prep work to get it cleaned out.

We decided that we had to sleep out to keep everything safe, so we threw out an air mattress and the boys, Carrera and our cousin Kaden slept on the couches, and the futon.  A great memory for all of us.

The kids sold cookies and Lemonade during the sale, and made about $30 after they paid for supplies, good job boys. 

Tara was the family member put in charge of the whole thing. She did a great job making signs, attaching prices, and taking peoples money.  Here she is at her post.  She also had a sleep over with us on the lawn.  We were so happy to have that all over with and made about $400 for Grandma.
