Hello Blogger World

Well I have decided to jump on this bandwagon and start blogging. Let me start by saying I am slightly paranoid about putting any information, let alone a lot of information about myself and my family, so I am going to have a private blog. I just am not sure about the entire world reading my daily happenings, although very uneventful most of the time. Second, I am slightly computer illiterate and am not sure I will ever have this thing looking cute or even get a picture on here, but my lovely husband is much better than me so maybe I can enlist his help sometimes. He wanted me to do this, so he will probably be willing.


We are pretty much up to the same things we do everyday. Get kids ready for school, drive them to school, pick them up from school, clean up their messes, feed them many many times a day, clean up after the meals, try to catch a shower and an occasional walk for some exercise, and enjoying every minute of it (sometimes, that is).


Shane and I have three beautiful, energetic little boys. Braxton (6), Dakota (4), and Cameron (16 months). Shane is a project man when he is not at work and just finished our bonus room above the garage last weekend. Now what? That is a good question, I am sure spring will provide many opportunities as well as Tara's new house and Alisha's Wedding--not to mention he will begin his regimen to get ready for the hunt very soon. That overtakes his (and our) lives from now until the snow flies. He loves to hunt, and until last season I would have said it was a hobby, but now definitely an obsession. Also until last season I would have said he just hiked, not hunted, but now he has one trophy to someday hang on one of my walls.


Braxton is in Kindergarten and learning how to read, which might I say is a very fascinating time in my mothering experience so far. He is so smart and I love reading with him. I heard once that when a child learns to talk and when they learn to read are the coolest times, and I have to agree, I love both of them. Braxton also loves to play sports and is just about to start soccer and t-ball for spring season. He is a happy, smart, little boy that has a bit of a hard time concentrating in school but somehow is still managing to do well.


Dakota is just about to have his 4th birthday and is very excited. He is in preschool with myself and 4 other moms as the teachers and he loves the interaction with other kids. He is so well mannered and easy to teach, another story for me and child #1, but gets quite upset at little things sometimes. He is getting better and preschool is helping him. He is loving sunbeams and comes home and goes on and on about it every week. His teachers put in so much time to teach them and he is learning so much. He loves to wrestle with his dad and snuggle on the couch with Shane also, a trait I hope he never looses. He has recently realized how great it is to have a little brother and him and Cam are becoming the best of friends.


Cameron is 16 months old and the happiest, sweetest little boy. He doesn't talk much yet, but can get his point across so well by standing at the fridge when he is thirsty, getting the crackers out when he is hungry, and getting his blanket and motioning for me to follow him when it is time for a nap. He pats his bum when he is stinky, and yesterday even told me to come here and went and laid next to the wipes box. He is very easy to communicate with even without speaking. Cam loves to eat and I believe will someday outgrow his brothers. They are not the best eaters, but he will eat anything I give him.


Then I guess there is me. I stay home with the boys and take care of all the things around here. I like to camp, scrapbook, read blogs, walk (mostly outside, but the treadmill will do), read to my boys, clean, save money at the grocery store and anywhere I can, work once a week at Bella's, and have recently enjoyed futsol.
