We had three full days of rain right after we planted, it was a nightmare of weeds even before the pumpkins got big enough to see. So we sprayed after covering the pumpkins with buckets.
Cam got a new bike for his birthday and loved loved riding it all mountain biking season long.
Cam got his first paycheck at Bella's. He started working all the same shifts as me during the summer. He really is a great worker and they loved him.

Brax spent June-October in Ketchican Alaska working on the fishing docks as a cutter. He worked so hard and played so hard also. What a wonderful experience it was to move up into that beautiful place for the entire summer and work 12-15 hour days during the peak season, but still love every minute of it. He made so many friends and met new people everyday. I feel like he came back a different person more grown up and able to talk to adults and so much happier in his skin. It was such a blessing!
Kiley took Carrera and Cam to the temple to do baptisms quite a few times this year. It is so amazing to have a temple so close and for the boys to show such interest in going often.
We had the privilege of attending the Ogden clean up as a family during June. We cleaned up a hugely overgrown yard that the people didn't have the skills or equipment to take care of. Then they had a delicious taco truck at the end.
My hollyhocks, a blessing and a curse. Lol. I love them when they look just like this, but hate them because they are giant and out of place and lean all over my walks.
Right before Dakota left for Alaska in July, the Halls had us over for a barbeque and some amazing volleyball action.
Cousin day in the pool. We have now had our pool for 10 summers, and it is the best investment we have ever made. We get hours and hours of fun out of it.
Dakota got an amazing opportunity to restore an hundred year old house with Casey Nielson. He has been working there about a year and has learned so much not only about construction projects but about time management and having an amazing leader as a boss who encourages him and makes him feel like he is special in every way. (I already knew that but it sure helps when Dakota knows it too.) It truly takes a village to raise a family!
Nichole and Annie from Bella's were also up in Alaska. This was their second year and they were very welcoming and amazing at sending pics since Brax never took or sent many.
Oh how I loved seeing his face. He lived in a dorm style building that he called the insane asylum because it was just four walled rooms with a communal bathroom and communal kitchen. Nothing homey about it at all. He even had to buy a new set of sheets and his own pillow when he got there because he couldn't stand theirs.
Lake Powell Hall's/Weston's 2022 did not happen. Jake and Alayna were busy getting Dalton ready for his mission, we were sending two boys away for the summer to work in Alaska, and Shane really wanted an adults only trip....so Ed and Britney took Dakota with them for a few days because he was really sad about the whole thing not happening. He helped them work and had a blast playing in the water and playing games. Dillon is 5 years old and thinks Dakota is the greatest so they had a ton of fun together.
